Morningside College

SIOUX CITY – Morningside College in Sioux City awarded 39 bachelor’s degrees and 32 master’s degrees to graduates in December.

Morningside College Provost Dr. William C. Deeds recently announced the students who were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.

Seth R. Maitlen and Rachel M. Shepherd, both of Creston, were named to the dean’s list.

The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a 3.67 GPA or better and complete at least 12 credits of coursework with no grade below a “C-.”

Morningside is a private, coeducational, four-year college with a total enrollment of 2,800 students. Morningside College offers five bachelor’s degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Science in nursing. Morningside also offers a Master of Arts in teaching degree and a Master of Science in nursing degree.

Southeast Community College

LINCOLN, Neb. – Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska, has released the names of students who graduated with degrees, diplomas or certificates following the 2017 fall quarter. Tammi Eileen Claus of Creston received a diploma in practical nursing.

Iowa State University

AMES – At Iowa State University’s fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 15-16, 2,286 graduates received degrees. Iowa State awarded 1,887 undergraduate degrees, 276 master’s degrees and 123 doctor of philosophy degrees.

Graduates included:

Rachel Jacobson of Bridgewater, Bachelor of Science in event management

Stephanie Shuler of Corning, Bachelor of Science in agronomy

Richard Benson III of Creston, Bachelor of Science in management

Karen Rice of Creston, Bachelor of Science in agricultural business

Ryan Williams of Fontanelle, Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and health
